If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends timeless romance with modern elegance, Cortney & Collin’s Dallas celebration is one you won’t want to miss. As a Dallas Wedding Photographer, this day was a perfect example of why I love capturing luxury weddings on both digital and film photography.
Held at The Artisan, a rooftop venue in the heart of downtown, their day was full of intention, joy, and editorial flair. From high school sweethearts to husband and wife, Cortney and Collin’s love story was front and center every step of the way.
Cortney got ready at The Hall Arts Hotel, overlooking the very rooftop where her ceremony was being set up — a full-circle moment that made for surreal and stunning getting-ready portraits. Her gown? A custom-designed dress by Elizabeth Lee Bridal, complete with a detachable floral overskirt instead of a traditional veil. Every detail of her look felt editorial, making her feel like she stepped straight out of Vogue Weddings.
The floral design by The Floral Eclectic was bold, vibrant, and completely unique — a whimsical mix of pinks, blues, purples, and greens that brought the rooftop setting to life.
Their reception brought personality and style to life with details that felt uniquely them:
– A custom light brown and white checkered dance floor from Big D Party Rentals
– A surprise saxophonist who got the party going (Shoutout to Dez On The Sax!)
– A pop-up espresso martini cart (yes, it was as fun as it sounds)
– And a hand-painted canvas of the Dallas skyline, used as a seating chart and now hanging in their home as a keepsake
Every element worked together to create an unforgettable evening!
Why Film?
A big part of what made this wedding feel so nostalgic and rich was my use of film photography. Film captures emotion and light in a way that’s hard to replicate — soft, romantic, and full of depth. It’s my favorite way to give couples an experience that feels editorial yet timeless.
If you’re planning your own wedding or looking for a Dallas photographer who can capture your day with both artistry and authenticity, I’d love to connect. Every couple deserves photos that feel like them — elevated, emotional, and unforgettable.
